Forest Thistle Alan Lee - A Biography

Alan is a practising Zen Buddhist having been a student of eastern religious philosophies and practices for over 25 years. Initially starting out on his career path as a professional footballer, he returned to university in 1981 to graduate in Computer Studies and Systems Analysis. In his early twenties he became interested in the physical and mental health benefits of Yoga and the taoist arts of tai chi and chi kung and studied these in conjunction with the martial art of aikido. This led to an interest in Traditional Chinese Acupuncture and he later studied at the College of Traditional Acupuncture in Leamington Spa, England.

After graduating in Traditional Acupuncture in 1990, he later qualified in Osteopathy at The Oxford School of Osteopathy and in Nutrition at The British College of Nutritional Medicine ( now the Plaskett School of Nutrition ) and currently has a professional practice in Ayr in Scotland. In 1999, he also studied to become a master practitioner in neuro-linguistic programming.

A keen and enthusiastic researcher of allopathic and alternative medicine, eastern philosophy and taoist arts, Body Mind Energetics encompasses the core elements of Alan's studies over 25 years. Teaching with a combination of humour and sincerity, he is well known for helping people get clarity on what it is that is truly important to them.
